Packeta in ChatGPT or Claude: parcels still waiting at pickup points

Which Packeta parcels sit at pickup points, until when, and which are on their way back: ask ChatGPT or Claude, and extend storage from the same chat.

    In short

Say three parcels from a small Brno cosmetics shop can be collected only until today and two more until Saturday; after that Packeta starts sending them back. A parcel waiting at a pickup point has a last pickup day in its status. Give ChatGPT or Claude the week's shipment codes and it reads those dates for all of them at once. Name the parcels that need more time, and it extends their storage once you confirm.

How to connect Packeta to ChatGPT or Claude

Three parcels sitting at Packeta pickup points have today, Friday 23 October, as their last pickup day, and two more have Saturday. After that they start coming back, and the orders turn into returns you didn’t plan for. Each parcel’s status says so, but nobody opens two hundred statuses on a Friday morning. Packeta doesn’t offer an official app for ChatGPT or Claude (we checked on 23 October 2026), so you connect it through APIUniCon with two credentials from your Packeta account.

Packeta gives each account one API key and one API password. Its account setup guide says both are in the client section under User Support. Copy them.

Then open ChatGPT or Claude with APIUniCon added (the setup guide shows how). Say you want Packeta connected and add the link to Packeta’s list of API methods. The AI replies with a link to our page, which is where the key and the password go. Neither passes through the chat, and both are stored encrypted.

One thing works differently from most services. Packeta’s API looks parcels up by number and has no call that lists every parcel in your account. So the AI needs the numbers from you: paste them from your shop’s order export, or give it the code of a shipment, the D-code you print for the courier, and it finds the parcels inside.

What to ask about parcels at pickup points

Questions that fit a shop shipping with Packeta:

    • Which of these parcels are waiting at a pickup point or Z-BOX, and until when?
    • Which parcels have today or tomorrow as their last pickup day?
    • Which parcels are on their way back to us, and what happened to each one?
    • Here are this week’s shipment codes. How many parcels have been picked up so far?
    • Which parcels went on to a partner carrier, and what does that carrier’s tracking say?
    • Which parcels were handed over more than five days ago and still aren’t ready for pickup?
    • Which order is parcel Z 284 1937 556?
    • Did the courier fail to deliver any of these home-delivery parcels?

Cases at the end of a shipping week

Our example shop sells cosmetics from Brno to customers in Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary. It’s fictional, like every count and order number below.

    What’s waiting, and until when

The owner pastes the codes of nine shipments, one for each working day from 12 to 22 October, and asks: “Which parcels are waiting for pickup, and when does storage run out?” The AI opens each shipment, reads the current status of every parcel inside and, for the ones at a pickup point, the last day they can be collected.

The 9 shipments hold 214 parcels. 163 have been picked up. 31 are waiting at a pickup point or Z-BOX. 12 are still travelling inside Packeta’s network, 5 went on to a partner carrier abroad and 3 are on their way back to you. Of the 31 waiting, 3 can be collected until today and 2 until tomorrow, Saturday. The other 26 have dates next week.

    Three parcels coming back

Next: “Why are those 3 coming back?” For each one the AI reads the full history and asks Packeta for the order number.

Orders 4471 and 4480 sat at pickup points until their storage time ran out, on 20 and 21 October, and are now returning. Order 4502 was refused by the recipient at the pickup point on Wednesday 21 October.

A Hungarian parcel that looks stuck

A customer in Hungary writes that nothing has moved since Monday. Packeta’s own history pauses once it hands a parcel to a partner carrier, so the AI reads the carrier’s tracking as well. “Where is parcel Z 284 1937 556?”

Packeta handed the parcel to its Hungarian partner on Monday 19 October. The carrier tried to deliver it on Wednesday and found nobody home; its last entry says a second attempt is planned. Packeta collects carrier updates three times a day, at 7:00, 13:00 and 21:00 GMT+2, so the newest step can appear a few hours late.

What the AI can do in Packeta

With the API password saved, the AI can do more than track. It names each parcel, says what will change and does it after you confirm.

    • “Keep the five parcels that expire today and tomorrow until Wednesday 28 October.” Packeta refuses dates outside the range it allows, and the AI reports any parcel where that happened.
    • “Cancel parcel Z 291 0457 118, that’s order 4530; the customer changed her mind.” Packeta cancels only parcels that haven’t physically been handed over yet.
    • “Create a return for order 4395 and email the customer the code.” She wants to send a face cream back. Packeta issues a password for the return, and she gives it at a Packeta drop-off point or Z-BOX when she hands the parcel in. Give the AI her email address; Packeta needs it for this.
    • “Here are the codes of today’s 18 parcels. Print their labels, A6 on A4.” You get one PDF with four labels to a page.
    • “Put those 18 parcels into one shipment for the courier.” Parcels that were already handed over can’t be added, and the AI leaves them out and says which.

    Questions and answers

Do read-only questions need the API password too?

No. Packeta accepts the API key alone for tracking: status, history and the carrier's updates. Extending storage, cancelling parcels, creating returns and printing labels all need the API password as well.

Can I choose where a return parcel goes?

Not per parcel. Packeta picks the pickup point for returns from the billing address in your client section, under Invoice Addresses.

Why do the times in Packeta's history and the carrier's history differ?

Packeta writes its own history in Central European time. Partner carriers usually use their local time zone, so the same day can show different clock times.

Can I try this without paying for test parcels?

Packeta has no test environment, but it says nothing is charged unless a packet physically enters its network. Checking statuses, and even creating a parcel you then cancel before handover, costs nothing.

Do parcels to Hungary and Romania work the same way?

Mostly. The numbers and statuses are the same kind. Where Packeta hands a parcel to a partner carrier, the AI follows it as in the Hungarian case above. For a few carriers, Hungary's Express One and Romania's FanCourier boxes among them, Packeta's own status also records the first delivery attempt.
